Norwegian’s has reported that it carried 2,243,560 passengers in October 2014, an increase of 15% compared with the same month last year.
Year-on year, revenue passenger kilometres (RPKs) in October increased by 39%, while available seat kilometres (ASKs) increased by 35%. The load factor was 81.6%, up 2.3 percentage points.
“We’re very pleased that the passenger figures continued in October. The fact that more customers outside of Scandinavia choose to fly with Norwegian, proves that we’re gaining a stronger international foothold and our new, more environmentally friendly aircraft, friendly inflight service and low fares are well received,” declared Norwegian's CEO Bjørn Kjos.
Norwegian operated 99.9% of its scheduled flights in October, of which 86.7% departed on time.
