Aer Lingus is to introduce a new daily service between Shannon and London Gatwick, which will begin on 27 March.
“This new daily service will provide Aer Lingus customers with the first early morning flight from London to the Shannon region,” explained Aer Lingus director of communications, Declan Kearney. “It will complement the existing London Heathrow service, which operates three times daily, broadening the choice for business and leisure travellers in and out of the Mid-West region.”
The introduction of this new service brings to nine the total number of destinations served by Aer Lingus from Shannon Airport, with services to London Heathrow, Paris, New York and Boston, and Aer Lingus Regional services to Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow and Manchester.
