New ops director of KLM UK Engineering

KLM UK Engineering, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AFI KLM E&M, has announced that Wayne Easlea is to become the company’s operations director.Easlea started his aviation career at KLM UK Engineering (formerly Air UK Engineering) in 1990 as an aircraft maintenance apprentice. After graduating he worked as a licensed technician and then as a supervisor in base maintenance. In 1998 he moved to Amsterdam to lead a line maintenance team of 10. Upon his return to the UK in 2001 Easlea joined the management team, initially as an aircraft maintenance project manager and then as production support manager. Since then, he has managed the materials, stores and base maintenance departments and held EASA Form 4 responsibility. “I am very proud to be appointed operations director of KLM UK Engineering. I hope that the knowledge and experience acquired throughout my 25-year career will have a positive impact on the company and its clients,” stated Easlea. “KLM UK Engineering is an outstanding company with extensive experience and know-how in regional fleet maintenance, specialising in Boeing 737, Airbus A320, BAe146/RJ and Fokker aircraft. My main objective is to continue the delivery of quality maintenance and value to our customers and to further develop our capability on new aircraft types.”
