Mick Adams has been appointed managing director Monarch Aircraft Engineering with immediate effect, as a result of which he also assumes the role of technical director with Monarch Airlines.
Adams replaces Richard Mintern, who was recently promoted to the role of chief operating officer for the Monarch Group, and brings with him a wealth of highly relevant experience gained over many years with Monarch.
Adams has previously worked for Harrods Aviation, where he undertook the roles of technical director, sales director and operations director. He is also a fully licensed aircraft engineer and has worked across the military, test, business and commercial aviation sectors.
Iain Rawlinson, chairman of the Monarch Group, commented, “We are delighted to appoint Mick to the role of managing director, Monarch Aircraft Engineering and technical director, Monarch Airlines. His promotion follows a robust and thorough selection process involving a number of very strong internal and external candidates and continues the ongoing programme of transformation and renewal of the Monarch Group that has been underway since the beginning of this year. “
