From 6 October Eastern Airways, which transports many workers in the oil and gas industry, will begin operating its year-round services between Leeds Bradford International Airport and Southampton and Aberdeen at more business-focused times.Commercial director of Eastern Airways, Kay Ryan, explained, “Customers heading to Southampton can now arrive on the south coast before 07:30 and be back in Yorkshire after a day’s business by 17:45, while offshore workers and oil industry executives now have a choice of two northbound weekday departures to Aberdeen leaving before 09:00.”The regional airline is introducing new weekday flights from Leeds Bradford to Southampton, which will depart at 06:40, 10:35 and 17:15. Flights will also be operating on the return route from Southampton at 07:50, 16:30 and 18:30. Southampton is home to a large port and has strong business links with the North in the in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical and construction industries, amongst others.Weekday services to Aberdeen, the oil capital of the UK, leave Leeds Bradford at 07:00, 08:55, 16:10 and 19:55. Flights also leave Aberdeen at 08:45, 16:10 and 19:55.Eastern Airways passengers also benefit from fast track security channels at all three airports.
