New leadership appointments at JetBlue

Effective immediately, JetBlue has revealed several promotions to its leadership team, with president and CEO Robin Hayes noting that the announcements “reflect an ongoing refinement of how we organise our teams at JetBlue to ensure we have the best talent and the right structure in place to achieve our goals for crewmembers, customers and shareholders".Mike Elliott, JetBlue's senior vice-president of people since May 2014, has been promoted to executive vice-president of people, reporting to Hayes.Similarly, Jeff Martin, who joined JetBlue as senior vice-president of operations in 2012, will also report to Hayes as the airline's executive vice-president of operations. As well as being responsible for flight operations, system operations and technical/maintenance operations, Martin will now also be in charge of safety, security and training.Marty St George will continue to report to Hayes now he's been promoted to executive vice-president of commercial and planning. He is responsible for airline & network planning, marketing, sales and revenue. St George has served as JetBlue's senior vice-president of commercial since May 2014 after joining JetBlue in July 2006.Eileen McCarthy has been promoted to vice-president of associate general counsel and corporate governance, expanding her legal and compliance portfolio to include information security. She will continue to report to James Hnat, executive vice-president general counsel.Finally, Jamie Perry has been promoted to the role of vice-president of brand and product development after serving as director of the department since February 2012.
