Abacus International has signed a new long-term global distribution agreement with Jetstar Group and Jetstar Japan which enables all Abacus-connected agencies across the region to access content from the Jetstar Group.
Abacus currently counts several airlines within the Jetstar Group such as Jetstar International (JQ), Valuair (VF) and Jetstar Asia (3K) as partners. It expects the Group to more than double its bookings on the Abacus platform this year with the inclusion of Jetstar Japan (GK) and Jetstar Hong Kong when the latter launches later in 2013.
“We are very excited to expand access to our low fares with this new agreement with Abacus International,” remarked Jetstar Group chief commercial officer, David Koczkar. “Jetstar prides itself on continuing to invest in partnerships which help us provide even more customers with the lowest fares. As we continue to grow within the region through our new network in Japan and Jetstar Hong Kong later in the year, being able to tap into Abacus’s wide network of travel agencies across the Asia Pacific will be invaluable and will provide us with great travel growth opportunities.”
