American Eagle Airlines has announced nonstop service between Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and Springfield, Illinois, with twice-daily flights beginning on 5 April 2011 using 50-seat Embraer ERJ 145s.
"We’re delighted to introduce this new service to the Illinois state capital," remarked Dan Garton, president and CEO of American Eagle. "These two daily flights will not only allow business travellers from Springfield to make an easy day trip to Dallas/Fort Worth, but will link central Illinois with American’s largest hub, offering convenient connections throughout American’s global network."
Flights from Dallas/Fort Worth will depart at 13:40 and 19:20, with respective arrival times in Springfield of 15:25 and 21:05. In the opposite direction flights leave Springfield at 07:00 and 16:00, and will reach DFW at 09:00 and 18:00 respectively (all times local).
