Eastern Airways has announced a new air service linking Cardiff with Aberdeen on 4 January 2011.
Eastern Airways will offer daily weekday and Sunday services from Cardiff to Aberdeen via Newcastle which, the airline says, will significantly reduce journey times compared to other air, road or rail options. Weekday scheduled services will depart Cardiff at 07:30 and arrive in Aberdeen at 10:25, while flights leave Aberdeen at 16:05, arriving in Cardiff at 18:40.
Sunday services take off from Cardiff at 07:05, arriving in Aberdeen at 09:20. From Aberdeen, flights leave at 16:25 and arrive in Cardiff at 18:40.
Roger Hage, Eastern Airways’ ground operations manager, commented, “Aberdeen is Europe’s energy capital and our link from south Wales to northeast Scotland will be of significant benefit to offshore workers. From New Year we’ll be offering the fastest transport link to Aberdeen from Cardiff, which will save business and leisure travellers valuable time and strengthen business connections.”
All passengers departing from Aberdeen Airport with Eastern Airways have access to its dedicated business lounge.
Eastern Airways has been operating from Cardiff Airport since 2006 and provides the business travellers of Wales with two flights each weekday to Newcastle. Last month the airline added a new Sunday service. The Cardiff to Newcastle service also offers onward connections to Stavanger in southwest Norway.
