Patrick de Castelbajac has been appointed the new chief executive officer (CEO) of ATR by the company’s Assembly of Members succeeding Filippo Bagnato, whose four-year mandate according to ATR's statutes expired at the end of May 2014.
de Castelbajac joins from Airbus where he has been head of contracts negotiations in the commercial directorate since the end of 2010. He began his aeronautical career at MBDA (previously Aerospatiale Missile) before spending three years as a lawyer at Baker & McKenzie, in Paris. In 2002 he joined the legal affairs directorate of Airbus, where in 2007 he became vice-president legal affairs for purchasing and intellectual property.
de Castelbajac is French and has Irish origins. He is married and has three children.
