Norwegian and Nayak Aircraft Services have signed a contract for the maintenance operation of three Boeing 737s based at Helsinki Airport.
From 1 March, Nayak will become responsible for all maintenance related tasks at Helsinki which include the bi-weekly checks, service checks and post flight checks. Furthermore it will attend to all call-in requests and defect rectification.
Luuk Houting, managing director of Nayak Aircraft Services, commented, “Norwegian has always performded its own scheduled line maintenance duties. We are therefore proud to be the first company that Norwegian entrusts to handle its line maintenance on a new operational base.”
A second contract was also signed by Norwegian for a call-in contract at Warsaw. This deal has already taken effect.
