navAero’s t•BagC22 electronic flight bag (EFB) system has received an EASA Supplementary Type Certificate (STC) 10036958 for BAe 146/Avro RJ series aircraft on behalf of Malmo Aviation.
The deployed EFB system comprises cross-connected dual t•BagC22 EFB systems with t•Pad series displays. The systems also feature navAero-designed, UMTS/HSDPA – 3G cellular modem for on-ground data transfer.
Knut Aabo, navAero vice-president sales and marketing, commented, "This achievement shows that our t•BagC22 electronic flight bag system meets all the European regulatory requirements to be a highly integrated part of a modern airline, providing end-to-end connectivity from aircraft to operations.”
The certification activities were performed in co-operation with Scandinavian Avionics. Aircraft installations are currently under way and installation kits are available for immediate delivery.
