MRO Europe 2015: Aerostar to achieve record heavy maintenance visits in 2015

So far in 2015, Aerostar has completed 48 heavy checks – predominantly on Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 families – and has contracts for a further 17 aircraft, bringing the total for the year to 65, which is the highest yearly total the company has recorded since it first entered the commercial aircraft MRO market in December 2004.Recently, Aerostar also became one of the first independent MROs in Europe to carry out installations of the new Split Scimitar Winglets on Boeing 737NG aircraft. The company has now carried out a total of 14 installations and can offer the work either separately or as part of a heavy maintenance check.Aerostar has EASA Part 145 MRO approvals for the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 families as well as the BAe 146/Avro RJ regional jetliner and works across two hangars.
