Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation (MITAC) has transferred its procurement department to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) in order to build a system in which MHI, which will manufacture the Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ), will handle the entire procurement process when the MRJ enters the production stage.
Procurement by MHI will include preparations for ramp-up production. MITAC continues to engage in procurement for development and testing aircraft.
Mitsubishi Aircraft and MHI have stated that they remain firmly committed to building a sustainable relationship with each partner company as well as achieving the success of the MRJ programme.
