The first flight of the Mitsubishi Regional Jet, which was originally scheduled to be conducted between 26 and 30 October 2015, is now due to take place during the week beginning 9 November 2015.
Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries jointly revealed the news, saying that in the meantime the aircraft’s rudder pedal needs to undergo repairs. The companies once again confirmed further announcements would be made one day before the first flight.
The pre-flight review by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is scheduled for early
next week. Once the ministry has granted the MRJ flight approval, high-speed taxiing tests and evaluations will be performed in preparation for the first flight.
