May 2010 traffic for American Eagle and Executive subsidiary

American Eagle Airlines has reported May 2010 traffic figures for its own operations and those of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Executive Airlines.

Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for Eagle totalled 685,070,000, a 7.1% increase compared with May 2009’s 639,664,000. Available seat miles (ASMs) rose by 5.9% to 905,503,000 from 855,047,000.

This created a 0.8 percentage point rise in load factor to 75.7% from the May 2009 figure of 74.8%. Passengers carried during the month numbered 1,394,757, slightly down – by 0.7% – from last May’s total of 1,404,153.

Executive Airlines recorded 43,864,000 RPMs in May, down 11.0% from May 2009’s 49,308,000. ASMs were cut by 4.9% to 78,936,000 from 83,042,000.

The load factor thus fell by 3.8 pp to 55.6% from the May 2009 figure of 59.4%. Executive carried 240,166 passengers during May, a 2.5% decrease from last May’s 246,417.
