Island Air has appointed Les Murashige as president, with Lesley Kaneshiro moving to the role of chief financial officer.
“We are pleased to welcome Les Murashige back to the Island Air family,” commented owner Charles Willis. “Les brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to guide the transition we have been planning and are now implementing.” Murashige has previously served as an executive with Island Air and Aloha Airlines.
“I’m delighted to return to Island Air to execute the new business plan and transition,” Murashige said. “It’s like coming home.”
“Lesley Kaneshiro has been instrumental to the success of Island Air,” Willis continued. “As chief financial officer, Lesley will focus on the financial management of our new business plan.”
Island Air recently launched a new brand including a new logo and refreshed aircraft design and received its first ATR 72 as part of a fleet renewal.
