Magnetic attracts Austrian for heavy MRO

Magnetic MRO has been awarded a heavy maintenance contract by Austrian Airlines covering the 2019/2020 winter season, with the carrier booking three quarters of all available maintenance slots at the provider’s facility in Tallinn, Estonia.

The new agreement will see Magnetic continue to provide the Austrian flag carrier with services for its Airbus A320 family fleet.

Markus Besta, Austrian Airlines’ head of MRO Management, said: “Due to proven reliability and infallible quality that Magnetic MRO has been demonstrating for more than 10 years of serving Austrian aircraft, we have confidently decided to proceed with them for the upcoming seasons as well.”

Andres Uusoja, sales manager at the Tallin-based provider, said the company was “glad to further expand our long-term co-operation with Austrian Airlines by signing this agreement under which Magnetic MRO will execute multiple C-checks. During the past decade we have built a mutual allegiance with Austrian Airlines out of trust and quality work; today we are happy to dedicate most of our available slots to them, proving our reliability in terms of providing flexible and tailor-made solutions based on our customers´ needs.”
