Norwegian has signed a line maintenance technical handling agreement with Monarch Aircraft Engineering Limited (MAEL).
The agreement, which commenced on 11 January 2016, will see MAEL’s engineering team provide a full suite of line maintenance services for up to nine Norwegian Boeing 737NG aircraft at London Gatwick Airport.
“We have grown to become the third largest airline at London Gatwick so high levels of efficiency and service are key to our operation,” noted Terje Kleppan, contract manager at Norwegian. “This strategic partnership with Monarch Aircraft Engineering is critical to our business.”
Dave Norton, MAEL’s head of sales, remarked, “We are delighted to grow our relationship with Norwegian, supporting their significant operation at Gatwick. Being awarded this contract is important to us and further demonstrates our commitment to maintaining new generation aircraft.”
