LOT Polish Airlines and Embraer Services & Support have extended a pool agreement to support the carrier’s fleet of 34 E-Jets.

The multi-year deal for Embraer’s component support solution includes exclusive on site stock for LOT as well as extended scope of engine line-replaceable units (LRUs) for E190 and E195 aircraft.

The programme will support LOT’s current fleet of 18 E170s and E175s, as well as up to 16 E190s and E195s, including an additional six E195s that LOT has leased this year from Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC A/S) that are already in operation and four new E190s that the airline will operate from January 2019.

LOT’s COO, Maciej Wilk, said: “The support of the OEM is a natural fit and the best option to our fleet as it offers cost-effective and practical solutions, guaranteeing efficiency and competitive results, allowing LOT to focus on aircraft operations. Our airline recognises very good performance of Embraer’s services and support (including components lead times assured and quality aspects).”

“LOT is the only airline to operate all four variants of E1 E-Jets in their fleet and we are humbled that they have chosen to place their trust in us. It’s a strong endorsement for our customer service and it proves that we met their expectations offering the best solutions in services and support with a competitive value,” said Johann Bordais, president and CEO at Embraer Services & Support.

The component solution programme is part of a suite of services that Embraer offers or has under development to support its growing fleet of aircraft worldwide through TechCare, its new platform that offers its entire portfolio of products and solutions.

LOT currently flies nearly seven million passengers a year to over 100 destinations worldwide via its hub in Warsaw, Poland.
