Loganair, which operates 15 Saab 340s and five Saab 2000s, has extended its Parts Exchange Programme (PEP) with the OEM for a further five years between 2015 and 2020.
The carrier has had a PEP agreement with Saab since 1999, whereby Loganair is the recipient of a ‘power by the hour’ service that supports continuous flight operations.
When Loganair needs to return components to Saab for repair, Saab immediately delivers replacement parts. The defective components are repaired and restored to an airworthy condition ready to be exchanged when needed again by the customer.
“Saab will safeguard Loganair's component supply for a further five years. This is testimony to the fact that our customers are very satisfied with the service we offer to civil aviation,” commented Torsten Öhman, head of the air business unit within Saab support and services.
The agreement is worth approximately SEK118 million.
