Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse is to supply the integrated air management system for Antonov’s new aircraft, the An-132D, the deal being confirmed by the signing of a contract at the ILA Berlin Airshow.
Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse is the company’s centre of excellence for air management systems and it will design, supply and service the air management system, including the bleed air system, cabin pressure control and anti-ice system, for the first An-132D demonstrator. The contract covers the delivery of the systems for four aircraft to be used for flight tests.
The An-132D will be the first prototype replacement model for the An-32 and An-26. The programme is being led by the Antonov Company in close co-operation with King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and Taqnia Aeronautics Company, which are both based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Liebherr-Aerospace also supplies the cabin pressure control systems for the AN-74 and AN-140, the integrated air management system for the AN-148, AN-158 and the AN-178 prototype. François Lehmann, Managing Director at Liebherr-Aerospace Toulouse SAS, stated: “The new contract for the AN-132D is yet another proof of our successful partnership with Antonov Company.”
