FlySafair’s Boeing 737NG aircraft are to receive comprehensive component support from Lufthansa Technik (LHT) following a contract between the MRO provider and the airline’s parent, Safair.
The Total Component Support TCS contract covers component maintenance, repair, overhaul as well as access to an adequate pool of spares. The contract comprises support for up to five aircraft.
Lufthansa Technik’s TCS is designed for operators wanting optimal component availability without the task of setting up and maintaining their own spare parts inventories. Customers benefit from a pooling concept whereby LHT stocks more than 100,000 components and guarantees 100% reliable delivery at a pre-determined service level. Members of the TCS pool also benefit from reductions in operating costs through economies of scale.
FlySafair began operations in 2014 and currently serves six domestic destinations from its hub in Johannesburg.
