Horizon Air has announced its rounded traffic figures for June 2015 and for the first half of the calendar year (1H15).
In June, revenue passenger miles (RPMs) rose to 206 million from 193 million, an increase of 6.7%. Available seat miles (ASMs) increased by 5.5% to 251 million from 238 million. These figures caused a marginal load factor increase of 0.9 percentage points, taking June 2015’s figure to 82.0% from 81.1% last June. The number of revenue passengers carried went up by 7.6% to 698,000 from 649,000.
For 1H15, RPMs totalled 1,130 million, up 6.5% from the 1,061 million in 1H14. ASMs were increased by 5.6% to 1,420 million from 1,345 million for the respective periods. The 1H15 load factor of 79.6% was slightly higher – up 0.8 pp – over 1H14’s 78.8%. Revenue passengers carried in 1H15 numbered 3,848,000, compared with 3,570,000 in 1H14, an increase of 7.8%.
