Republic Airways Holdings has reported its preliminary passenger traffic results for June 2012.
The company generated 1,863,639,000 revenue passenger miles (RPMs), which was in line with the same month last year. There was a 5% decrease in capacity to 2,170,623,000 available seat miles (ASMs) from 2,295,756,000 in June 2011.
The load factor was 86% in June of 2012 versus 81% in the same month last year. Republic Airways carried 2,729,801 passengers during the month, a decrease of 5% from the 2,858,781 carried in June last year.
In the first half of the year (1H12), RPMs totalled 10,152,051,000, compared with 10,205,025,000 in 1H11, a 1% decrease. ASMs in 1H12 were cut by 2% to 12,761,690,000 from 13,072,805,000.
The load factor in 1H12 was 80%, a 2 percentage point increase over 1H11’s figure of 78%. The company carried 14,871,993 passengers in 1H12, compared with 15,214,358 in the same period last year, a 2% decrease.
