Korean Air’s low-fare subsidiary Jin Air International has started daily flights from Seoul’s Incheon International Airport to Guam.
The new service will use Boeing 737-800 aircraft with a capacity of 183 passengers, departing Seoul at 10:00 and arriving in Guam at 15:30. Flights will head back to Seoul at 16:30, all times quoted being local.
In March 2010, 6,624 visitors from Korea arrived in Guam, a 46.5% increase from the same time last year.
Jin Air was launched by Korean Air in July 2007 starting with domestic flights from Seoul Gimpo to Jeju Island. The airline has been in negotiations with the United States FAA for almost two years in order to start its Guam services.
