JetBlue Airways has reported its traffic figures for July 2011, maintaining its load factor while increasing the passengers carried in the month by just over 9%.
Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) totalled 3,063,423,000, compared with 2,756,196,000 in July 2010, an 11.1% increase. Available seat miles (ASMs) were increased by 11.6% to 3,565,921,000 from July 2010’s 3,196,499,000.
The load factor thus barely altered from year to year – a drop of just 0.3 percentage points to 85.9% from 86.2%. Revenue passengers carried toalled 2,576,695, an increase of 9.4% from last July’s figure of 2,355,023.
JetBlue’s preliminary completion factor was 99.4% and its on-time performance was 74.1%. The preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile (RASM) for July increased by 5% year over year.
