JetBlue Airways has begun a once daily nonstop service from New York JFK to Piarco International Airport in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
On 1 May, additional nonstop service from Fort Lauderdale will begin, increasing JetBlue's offering to two daily flights between the US and Trinidad and Tobago.
“We are excited to continuously expand our network in the Caribbean. We now offer nonstop service to 25 destinations in the region with up to 200 daily flights to, from and within the Caribbean,” commented JetBlue president Robin Hayes. “With a large diaspora in New York City and South Florida, our new service will connect Trinidadians to family and friends in the US. This new route will also provide convenient service for those travelling for pleasure.”
Port of Spain is the 84th city in JetBlue’s route network. Flights from JFK depart at 07:30 and reach Port of Spain at 13:29. In the opposite direction, takeoff from Trinidad is at 14:40 with arrival back at JFK at 19:12.
