JetBlue reports June and half-year traffic data

JetBlue Airways has announced its preliminary traffic results for June 2014 and the first half of the calendar year.

Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) totalled 3,255,731,000, compared with 3,130,375,000 last June, an increase of 4.0%. Available seat miles (ASMs) were increased by 5.3% to 3,843,889,000 from 3,652,105,000.

The load factor in June was 84.7% down 1 percentage point from last June’s 85.7%. Revenue passengers carried totalled 2,753,251, up 4.4% from the 2,637,279 carried in June 2013.

In the first half of 2014 (1H14), RPMs numbered 18,293,934,000, an increase of 3.8% over the 17,621,076,000 in 1H13. ASMs totalled 21,805,221,000 compared with 20,881,241,000 in 1H13, a 4.4% increase.

The 1H14 load factor was 83.9%, down 0.5 pp from 84.4% in the respective period last year. Revenue passengers carried in 1H14 numbered 15,511,988, compared with 15,052,830 in 1H13, a 3.1% increase.
