JetBlue Airways has begun serving a new nonstop route between New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and its 89th destination, Nevada's Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO), using Airbus A320 aircraft."It's a pleasure for us to provide service to an area with such high demand for traffic because of its natural beauty," remarked Jeff Martin, EVP operations, JetBlue. "The sights of the Reno-Tahoe area are a favourite among winter sport and travel enthusiasts for its spectacular outdoor scenery. These natural attractions make the city an obvious choice for JetBlue, as the health and natural appearance of such destinations are of key importance to JetBlue customers. Beautiful, natural destinations like our newest BlueCity Reno-Tahoe remind us that nature inspires travel and reminds us why we have established an onboard recycling system, along with other efforts."A daily service will operate between 18 June and 11 September this year, as well as between 25 November 2015 and 4 January 2016. Other times of year, the service will operate on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.Flights will depart JFK at 19:40, arriving in RNO at 23:07, whilst on the return service takeoff at RNO is scheduled for 23:59 with landing at JFK at 08:09 (+1). Passengers will then have connecting opportunities via JetBlue's JFK Terminal 5 to several destinations along the East Coast as well as the Caribbean.
