JetBlue Airways has introduced a new service named Blue Inc., a booking tool allowing small and mid-sized businesses to manage corporate travel. The service, which is free, consists of a web portal which allows employees to manage their own travel through a streamlined process within a set travel budget. Accessible from any device, there is the opportunity for multiple passengers to be booked at once for team travel, with personalised itineraries (but separate payment options for each traveller) if required. Administrators also have access to help manage bookings.“Traditionally, business travel tools have been very expensive and were reserved for big businesses with huge travel budgets. Small or mid-sized businesses were left to book through traditional consumer channels without any of the benefits of a corporate booking tool,” commented Dennis Corrigan, VP sales and revenue management, JetBlue Airways. “We developed Blue Inc. with those businesses in mind. With Blue Inc. smaller companies can now manage their travel with JetBlue as efficiently as larger businesses, all while being rewarded along with their travellers."Booking through Blue Inc. gains TrueBlue points for both the company and the individual passenger. Companies will earn three loyalty points per dollar spent on JetBlue flights for employee travel booked through the portal. Businesses can then grant access to redeem these points to registered travellers within the company. Additionally, travellers earn six TrueBlue points per dollar spent on JetBlue flights booked through Blue Inc. for their individual accounts by integrating their existing TrueBlue accounts.Blue Inc. also allows employees to book hotels and rental cars.
