JetBlue Airways has announced two new routes with daily service to its newest destination, Mexico City International Airport (MEX) from Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL).Mexico City becomes JetBlue's 91st destination in its global network and 35th destination in the Latin America and Caribbean region.“We are thrilled to launch nonstop service to Mexico City from our two Florida focus cities,” declared Dave Clark, vice-president network planning, JetBlue. “Mexico City is one of the Americas’ most cosmopolitan cities, with a unique and rich history, beautiful architecture, world-class museums and lively nightlife. Our new nonstop service makes it easy to get there for business or leisure and our flights are timed to allow connections from many points throughout the JetBlue network. We also look forward to introducing the JetBlue experience to Mexico City based travellers and welcoming them onboard flights to Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, and many other destinations across the JetBlue network."The daily service from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood and Orlando to Mexico City operates on JetBlue's A320 aircraft. Flights to Mexico City operate in the evening, with flights returning to the US in the early morning.The outbound from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood to Mexico City departs at 20:38, arriving at 23.05 with the return taking off at 05:40 and arriving at FLL at 09.52.From Orlando flights depart at 20:55 and reach Mexico City at 23:15. The inbound service leaves the Mexican capital at 05.40, landing back in Orlando at 09:56.
