Tony Lowery has joined JetBlue as vice-president of technical operations from his previous role at Qantas Airways, where he was head of maintenance operations.
Lowery’s new role at JetBlue will consist of monitoring the company's engineering, maintenance, materiel, and quality functions. He will report to Jeff Martin, the airline’s SVP operations.
“We are pleased to welcome Tony to JetBlue as our next head of tech ops,” remarked Jeff Martin. “Tony's extensive professional background in the maintenance field coupled with his focus on culture and cultivating talent is a great addition to the senior leadership team.”
Lowery’s other jobs in the aviation industry have included the position of senior director of maintenance production at Southwest Airlines and a variety of maintenance and supply positions with US Airways.Lowery remarked that he is “honoured to be leading JetBlue's 1,000+ maintenance and material professionals.”
