Alexander Chatkewitz has joined JetBlue as vice-president, controller to oversee the company's accounting, tax, payroll, accounts payable and credit card teams.
Chatkewitz will report to Jim Leddy, JetBlue's senior vice-president and treasurer. “With Alexander's extensive Fortune 100 experience, we are very pleased to welcome him to the JetBlue leadership team,” explained Leddy. “His track record of developing talent and managing the complex business issues of evolving companies like ours will be a real benefit to JetBlue.”Before joining JetBlue, Chatkewitz worked for Philip Morris International as VP and controller of financial reporting and accounting research. Prior to Phillip Morris, he spent over ten years at Altria Group, which culminated in the position of VP assistant controller of financial reporting and consolidations.“I'm honoured to join the JetBlue finance team and look forward to contributing to the success of this incredible brand,” Chatkewitz explained. “Throughout the process I've been impressed by the depth of talent across the organisation and find the focus on culture to be extremely refreshing.”
