JetBlue Airways has released its preliminary traffic results for June 2015, as well as for the first half of the calendar year (1H15).
Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) in June totalled 3,542,079,000, compared with 3,255,731,000 in June 2014, which was an 8.8% increase. Available seat miles (ASMs) were increased by 8.0% to 4,151,631,000 from 3,843,889,000.
The load factor thus rose slightly – by 0.6 percentage points – to 85.3% compared with the 84.7% achieved in June 2014. The number of revenue passengers carried in June was 2,977,560, an increase of 8.1% over the 2,753,251 carried last June.
For 1H15, RPMs went up by 9.8% to 20,093,339,000 from 18,293,934,000 in 1H14. ASMs totalled 23,656,129,000 compared with 21,805,221,000, an increase of 8.5%.
The load factor in 1H15 was 84.9%, up 1 pp on 1H14’s figure of 83.9%. The company’s subsidiary airlines carried 16,952,564 revenue passengers in 1H15 compared with 15,511,988 in the same period last year, a rise of 9.3%.
