JetBlue Airways plans to continue expanding its San Juan, Puerto Rico focus city at Luis Munoz Marin International Airport with daily nonstop service to Jacksonville, Florida beginning 19 May 2011.
The new route will be the only nonstop service between the Caribbean and Jacksonville and follows the recent announcement of new JetBlue service between San Juan and Tampa.
From the island’s three main airports in Aguadilla, Ponce, and San Juan, JetBlue offers service to destinations on the US mainland including Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, New York, Tampa, plus intra-Caribbean service to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
JetBlue’s planned schedule between Jacksonville and San Juan will see flights leave the Florida city at 10:30, arriving in San Juan at 13:26. The return service departs San Juan at 14:10 and lands in Jacksonville at 17:36.
Flights will be operated with the airline’s Embraer 190s, which offer all-leather seating for 100 customers.
