JetBlue Airways is to begin service on its Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Quito, Ecuador's Mariscal Sucre International Airport (UIO) route on 25 February 2016.The airline announced the new daily non-stop route in May as part of continued growth in South Florida as well as in the Caribbean and Latin America. JetBlue will soon operate up to 95 daily flights at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood and will serve more than two dozen destinations in the Caribbean and Latin America."Ecuador is quickly becoming one of the top travel destinations in Latin America which makes Quito an excellent addition to our growing route map," explained Dave Clark, vice-president network planning, JetBlue. "Featuring attractions like the stunning Amazon, dramatic Andes, Pacific Coast and picturesque Galápagos, Ecuador offers something for every traveller. With daily flights from our focus city in Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, trips to Quito for any of these incredible experiences is easier than ever for customers flying from anywhere across the JetBlue network."The outbound flight will leave FLL at 07:05 and reach Quito at 11:30, while the inbound will leave the Ecuadorian capital at 00:59 and reach FLL at 05:14 (all times local). Service on the route will be provided by JetBlue’s Airbus A320s.
