JetBlue announces June and 1H11 traffic statistics

JetBlue Airways has reported its preliminary traffic results for June 2011 and for the first half of the calendar year (1H11).

Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) totalled 2,647,834,000, compared with 2,470,202,000 in June 2010, a 7.2% increase. Available seat miles (ASMs) were increased by 10.0% to 3,225,441,000 from 2,933,436,000 last June.
These figures creates a load factor of 82.1%, 2.1 percentage points below June 2010’s figure of 84.2%. Revenue passengers carried totalled 2,240,717, which was 7.1% more than the 2,092,882 passengers carried in the same month last year.

For the first six months of 2011 (1H11), RPMs reached 14,615,936,000, which was 7.5% up on 1H10’s figure of 13,596,296,000. ASMs were up by just 4.9% at 17,952,081,000 from 17,111,848,000. So the load factor also increased, by 1.9 pp to 81.4% from 79.5% in 1H10. In 1H11 JetBlue carried 12,661,036 revenue passengers, compared with 11,641,741 in 1H10, an 8.8% increase.
