JetBlue Airways has reported its preliminary traffic results for January 2013.
Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) totalled 2,788,721,000 in January 2013, compared with 2,508,931,000 in January 2012, an 11.2% increase. Available seat miles (ASMs) were increased by 9.9% to 3,414,264,000 from 3,107,654,000.
The load factor thus increased by 1.0 percentage point to 81.7% from 80.7% for the respective months. The number of revenue passengers carried was 2,387,691, compared with 2,164,187 in January 2013, a 10.3% increase.
JetBlue’s preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) for January was relatively flat year over year.
