JetBlue announces April traffic figures

JetBlue Airways has reported its preliminary traffic results for April 2010.

Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) increased by 6.0% to 2,355,342,000 from April 2009’s figure of 2,222,990,000. Available seat miles (ASMs) were up by 6.1% to 2,926,238,000 from 2,757,046,000 year-on-year.

These figures produced a load factor for April 2010 of 80.5%, a decrease of 0.1 percentage points from April 2009’s 80.6%. Revenue passengers carried totalled 2,036,012, a 4.2% increase on last April’s 1,954,278.

JetBlue’s preliminary completion factor was 99.5% and its on-time performance was 85.4%. JetBlue’s preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile for the month of April increased four percent year-over-year.
