JetBlue Airways has announced growth at its South Florida focus city Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood with two new daily non-stop routes to Montego Bay, Jamaica, and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, both scheduled to begin 1 May 2014.
The two new routes are in addition to the already announced nonstop once-a-day flight to Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, also starting on 1 May.
"Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood was JetBlue's very first destination and we have always been very committed to the South Florida region,” said Dave Barger, JetBlue's president and CEO. “With these new nonstop flights to three of the Caribbean's premier destinations, we will offer 29 nonstop routes and more than 70 daily flights from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood on peak days,"
JetBlue's schedule between Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Punta Cana (PUJ) will see departures from FLL at 11:20, arriving in Punta Cana at 13:44. Flights in the opposite direction take off at 14:40, landing at FLL at 17:20 (all times local).
Between Fort Lauderdale and Montego Bay, flights push back from FLL at 12:47 and reach Montego Bay at 13:29. The return flights take off at 14:25 and land at Fort Lauderdale at 17:04 (all times local).
