Interjet and American Airlines sign codeshare agreement

American Airlines and Interjet plan to submit an application to the US Department of Transportation for regulatory approval of a codeshare agreement whereby American Airlines will codeshare with Interjet on flights from Mexico City to Huatulco, Villahermosa, Merida, Tuxtla Gutierrez and Oaxaca.
José Luis Garza, Interjet's CEO, commented, "We're proud to be the airline that will open these new destinations in Mexico for American Airlines customers."
“This new codeshare relationship with Interjet strengthens our presence in this important and growing market,” explained Kurt Stache, SVP of alliances and partnerships for American Airlines.
