Increased passenger numbers and load factors for Aer Lingus in May

Aer Lingus Group has announced traffic statistics for May 2015.

Total traffic for the month, including Aer Lingus Regional flights, was up 1.5% to 1,062,000 passengers compared with 1,046,000 passengers in May 2014.

Mainline traffic rose by 3.5% to 956,000. Short-haul passenger figures increased by 2.3% to 813,000 from 795,000 in May 2014, while transatlantic traffic continued to grow with passenger numbers up 10.9% to 143,000 in May 2015.

The overall passenger load factor for May 2015 was up 1.7 percentage points to 80.4%. The short-haul load factor increased by 2.6 pp to 77.2%, while the long-haul load factor was the same as in May 2014 at 84.5%.
