Horizon Air has announced its preliminary traffic figures for September 2014 featuring an 8.7% growth in the number of passengers carried compared with September 2013.
Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) rose by a 5.1% to 184 million from 175 million in September 2013. Available seat miles (ASMs) were increased 6.8% to 234 million from 219 million compared with September 2013.
This resulted in a 1.3 percentage point decrease in load factor to 78.6% from 79.9%. As noted, the number of revenue passengers carried in September 2014 was 8.7% up on last September’s figure, to 625,000 from 575,000.
Horizon also reported 88.9% of its flights arrived on time in September, compared with the 84.5% reported in September 2013.
