Horizon Air reports December and full 2013 traffic results

Horizon Air has announced its traffic results for December 2013 and for the whole of the last calendar year.

Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) rose by 3.9% to a rounded figure of 186 million in December from 179 million in December 2012. Available seat miles (ASMs) remained constant at 226 million.

The passenger load factor increased by 3.1 percentage points to 82.5% from December 2012’s 79.4%. Revenue passengers carried totalled 621,000 in rounded figures, up from 586,000 in December 2012, a 5.9% increase.

For the full-year 2013, Horizon reported total RPMs of 2,163 million, up by 3.5% from 2012’s figure of 2,090 million. ASMs were increased by just 0.3% to 2,678 million from 2,669 million over the respective periods.

These figures created a 2.5 pp rise in passenger load factor to 80.8% in 2013 from 78.3% in 2012. Revenue passengers carried, in rounded figures, numbered 7,099,000 in 2013, which was 4.7% more than the 6,781,000 carried in 2012.
