Great Lakes Aviation halves August 2015 passenger numbers year-over-year

Great Lakes Aviation carried 8,421 passengers during August 2015, which is 50.3% less than the 17,032 carried by the airline in August 2014.
Revenue passenger miles saw a similarly dramatic 52.3% fall across the same respective periods from 4,798,000 to 2,289,000, with available seat miles also decreasing by 34.3% from 9,157,000 to 6,015,000. This resulted in a 14.3 percentage point decrease in load factor from 52.4% to 38.1% year-over-year.
Revenue per available seat mile appears to have been less affected, shrinking only 4.4% from 59.45 cents in August 2014 to 56.82 cents in August 2015.
