Great Lakes Aviation has reported its preliminary passenger traffic results for the month of May 2012.
Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) totalled 15,614,000, compared with 13,741,000 in May 2011, a 13.6% increase. Available seat miles (ASMs) increased by the same percentage to 34,991,000 from 30,798,000 for the respective periods, meaning that the load factor stayed the same at 44.6%. The carrier flew 49,088 passengers in May 2012, compared with 44,445 last May, a 10.4% increase.
The revenue per ASM (RASM) rose by 7.8% to 34.78 cents from 32.25 cents in May 2011.
