Great Lakes Aviation announces August traffic stats

Great Lakes Aviation has reported preliminary passenger traffic results for the month of August 2010.

Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) totalled 13,817,000 compared with 11,864,000 in August 2009, a 16.5% increase. Available seat miles (ASMs), however, were cut by 41% to 33,682,000 from 35,111,000.

The load factor therefore increased by 7.2 percentage points to 41.0% from 33.8%. Passenger numbers were also up – by 7.8% – at 46,764 compared with last August’s 43,385.

The revenue per ASM (RASM) in cents showed a healthy increase of 11.3% at 33.12 cents, when compared with the August 2009 RASM of 29.75 cents.
