Great Lakes Aviation has reported its preliminary passenger traffic results for August 2011, including a load factor increase of almost 6 percentage points.
Revenue passenger miles (RPMs) numbered 15,158,000, compared with 13,817,000 last August, an increase of 9.7%. Available seat miles (ASMs) were cut by 3.9% to 32,364,000 from the 33,682,000 offered in August 2010.
The load factor thus rose by 5.8 pp to 46.8% from the 41.0% recorded in August last year. Passengers carried numbered 49,124, a 5.0% increase over the 46,764 carried in the same month last year.
