GOL and GE Aviation have signed a five-year OnPoint services agreement covering repair services and logistics for all systems provided by GE including various avionics, flight management, instruments and hydraulic systems for the carrier’s Boeing 737NGs.
“This is the first comprehensive OnPoint Services agreement covering systems on the 737NG,” noted John Jarczyk, general manager of OnPoint programmes for GE Aviation Systems. “GOL is a forward-looking aviation leader and they recognise the importance of advanced technology and maintenance services expertise for their 737NG fleet.”
Last month the company announced that GE Aviation’s PBN Services was selected by GOL to support required navigation performance (RNP) flight procedure efforts in Brazil.
“GOL selected GE for this services agreement because of its successful track record of quality repair services throughout the world,” explained Viggo Thisted, GOL’s new technologies project manager.
